Space Saving in Bathrooms

Feel cramped?  Never enough space?  How does one deal with a small bathroom?

Making use of every square inch in a small bathroom is essential.  When organizing your bathroom, there is one important rule: find the rightful place for everything.

Sometimes a simple solution that is often overlooked is designing a bathroom with a sliding door.  The swing of a traditional door can take up a lot of floor space.  Going with a pocket door allows you to use that space for other things.

Need storage space in the bath?  Building custom-fit shelves can be a fix.  Even 6 inch shelves can be enough to store washcloths, soap, or toiletries.  Higher shelves can be great for extra towels.  Even spice racks can be used to organize your lotions, shampoos, nail polish, etc.

The use of a peg rail provides plenty of room to hang towels and other bathroom items.  Adding a shelf on top of the peg rail gives room to put your lotions, soap, and other toiletries.

Install a larger mirror to reflect more space.  This is a visual trick that increases the amount of light in the bathroom.

Rolling towels instead of folding them takes up less space allowing you to fit more in the same amount of space and have the feel like a spa.

There are many other ideas out there.  Pinterest is a great place to find creative ways to save space.  Here are a few that we like;
