Looking for light in the dark

On average, households waste about 1/3 of their annual heating and cooling
expenditures on air leaks in and out of the home. After the insulation crew
gets done on a new house, home builder Chris Jones in southwestern Illinois
sends in a team to look for any daylight cracks, which are then sealed.
This added step creates a much "tighter" home, significantly reducing energy
use and expense as well as protecting the homes and those living in them
from expensive problems due to mold and rot from moisture that gets in around
those leaks.
